Dear Writer/Producer,

I hope to hell there's time left in this season's shooting schedule for me to make this very important plea: Please be careful with Carter!

If we have to have her back in the new season at all, please make the effort to do it right! If she screws up, acknowledge it and have her learn from it. Don't be so in love with her or the actress that the show itself doesn't acknowledge monumental screwups. Don't make her supergirl, either. Nothing is more boring or annoying than a character who swoops in to save the day, has no flaws and manages to do it all with her heavily-applied lipstick still perfect at the end of the day. Give us a break, please.

And for crying out loud, when the actress gets her figure back from having given birth (and I am genuinely happy for her, by the way) please, please, please allow her to dress like a professional military officer??? No more skimpy tank tops and no more black, plastic dominatrix gear. Leave all that to Vala. Vala isn't a member of the U.S. military. Carter is. And we know she's attractive. You don't have to put her in hookers' clothing in order to emphasize that.

One last thing. If she gets Daniel killed again, as she did last season by inviting a relicator to stick a hand in her head, please have Daniel's return from the dead be something that Carter welcomes instead of cringes at. It was positively sickening to see her look as though she was ready to toss her cookies the second she realized Daniel was alive. I'd like for the show's scenes to be directed in such a way that the team members appear to care whether the others live or die. It's not a whole lot to ask.

Sincerely,
Fan of Captain Carter
(as opposed to Major Carter, or blech-- Lt. Col. Carter)
