Dear Writer/Producer,
I know it's probably a little too late to be asking, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? So here goes. Can ya do something about Lt. Col. Carter, please? As in, don't dress her like courtesan rather than a Lt. Colonel? And don't have the character do patently dumbass things, and then have the other characters pat her on the head and tell her she didn't do anything wrong? That's really, really annoying. Here's a pretty concise list of what not to do with Carter:
1) Don't have her invite anymore replicators into her head.
2) Don't have her invite replicators into base computer systems, even if they're
'only' Alpha site systems.
3) Don't have her plan to bring replicators back to Earth despite strict orders
from her C.O.
4) Don't have her wear black leather when she's out tracking rogue NID.
5) Don't allow her to run around in tank tops that match Teal'c's in skimpiness.
She doesn't have the excuse that nothing else will fit around her massive biceps.
6) Don't have her stalk any more generals (it was embarrassing to watch her
staking out O'Neill's house).
7) Don't try to make her into a super hero. You tried it last season, and it
didn't work. Trust me. It didn't work.
8) Don't make her look ill when friends come back from the dead.
9) Don't have her dismiss Cassandra's loss of her mother with a cavalier "She's
a tough kid," and then have her whine about her own feelings.
10) Don't try to make Stargate into "The Life and Loves of Samantha Carter."
11) Don't have her blow off her backup, make everyone think she's been captured,
have a base full of people ready to risk their lives for her, then have her
C.O. shrug it off with a pshaw.
12) Don't have her joke about walking on water and parting the Red Sea just
after she's caused the galaxy to be over-run by a powerful enemy.
If you can't accomplish the above, please just ship her off to Antarctica (with sincere apologies to the actress, who wasn't given much to work with anyway).
