Dear Writer/Producer,
I hope I'm not too late with this. It's just hard to tell exactly when you crazy kids will actually be shooting upcoming episodes.
I'm writing to ask you to either shape up with Carter, or ship her out. No more clothes ill-suited for a respectable military officer. No more having her do bonehead things and then having everyone else act as though she's perfect. No more looking as though she's swallowed something sour when a friend comes back from Oma-Land.
If the writers and producers are smitten with her, that's okay. It's understandable. But it shouldn't get in the way of writing and producing in such a way that Carter is competent. Lately, though, she's come off more as Lt. Col. Cuckoo, and it's like the damned Twilight Zone, with none of the other characters acknowledging her cuckooness. And that's not fair to fans, the show, the character, or the actress. The show, the characters and the audience shouldn't have to pay for the crushes of the production people.
It's really too bad that whereas I once thought of Carter as one of the few positive, admirable female characters on television, I'm now dreading her return after a break from her in the first 5 or 6 episodes of the new season.
Sincerely,
Long-time Stargate Fan
